Overview: Connection Profiles
Connection Profiles help you define connection credentials for hosts by:
- Adding a new connection profile that associates selected hosts with iDRAC and OMSAAgent credentials
- Displaying or editing a current connection profile
- Deleting a connection profile
- Refreshing connection profile list to reflect changes in the vCenter
Tasks
You can Add a New Profile to the connection profile list.
To view or edit an existing connection profile:
- Select a profile with the mouse.
- Click Edit/View. The Connection Profile: profile name pop-up window displays.
- Select the profile section you want to display or change:
- Profile Name and Description: rename profile or change description.
- Associated Hosts: hosts using connection profiles.
- iDRAC Credentials: deployment user name and password.
- OMSAAgent Credentials: hardware configuration user name and password.
- Click Save to apply changes, click Cancel to eliminate changes
- Repeat last two steps for each part of the connection profile.
- Click X (upper-right corner) to close the Connection Profile: profile name pop-up window.
- Select a profile with the mouse.
- Click Delete.
- When the cautionary message displays, click Delete to remove the profile or click Cancel to retain it.
- Click Refresh.
