To take a Prometheus Academy online test:

  1.  Make sure your Internet connection is active, so you can submit your test results when done.
  2.  Start your Internet browser (IE, FireFox, Opera, Netscape).
  3.  Make sure your browser supports Javascript and it is turned on (enabled). For instructions to enable Javascript on common browsers.
  4.  Type or cut-and-paste the URL (http://www.theprometheusacademy.com/directory/test_name.htm) your instructor provided in class or by email.
  5.  At the top of the test, type your name and email address. We do not use student IDs. This information is sent to the instructor in an email when you complete your test.
  6.  Answer all the questions on the test.
  7.  When you are finished, review your responses. Then click the Grade and Submit button at the bottom of the test.
  8.  Your test results are displayed and the results are emailed to the instructor.
  9.  Leave the browser or go to another page.

Instructions for popular browsers—enable Javascript

Internet Explorer

  1.  On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2.  Click the Internet zone.
  3.  If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then do step 6. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, do steps 4 and 5:
  4.  Click Custom Level.
  5.  In the Security Settings - Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.
  6.  Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

FireFox 2.xx or 3.xx versions

  1.  Open Firefox.
  2.  On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3.  Click the Content icon.
  4.  Check the box next to Enable JavaScript.
  5.  Click the Advanced button to open the Advanced JavaScript Options box.
  6.  Check the boxes under Allow scripts to section that you want to allow.
  7.  Click OK.
  8.  Click OK.

Opera version 9

  1.  On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  2.  On the Advanced tab, click Content.
  3.  Click to select the Enable JavaScript check box, and then click OK.
  4.  Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Reload button to run scripts.

Netscape

  1.  Select Edit, then Preferences, and then Advanced.
  2.  Click to select Enable JavaScript option.
