Overview: Connection Profiles - Add New Profile

Connection Profiles associate access/deployment credentials with a set of host servers to contain:
  • Name and unique description (helps with management)
  • Displaying a list of hosts associated with connection profiles
  • iDRAC credentials
  • OMSAAgent credentials
Caution: Passwords used in iDRAC and OMSAAgent credentials must not exceed 31 characters.

Tasks

To add a new connection profile:
  1. Click Create New. The New Connection Profile pop-up displays.
  2. Enter the Profile Name and an optional Description. Provide distinctive information to help you manage host security.
    Click Next.
    If you want stop adding a new profile at anytime, click Cancel. To return to a previous New Connection Profile section, click Back.
  3. When the Associated Hosts section displays, select the hosts you want to use these connection credentials. Click Next.
  4. View the information about credentials and connection protocols. Click Next.
  5. Enter the out-of-band iDRAC Credentials: User name, Password, and Verify Password. Passwords must match. Click Next.
  6. Enter the in-band OMSAAgent Credentials: User name, Password, and Verify Password. Passwords must match.
  7. Click Save to add the profile.
